Andy Warhol's "Sixty Last Suppers" On Display
A Must-See Exhibit
Over 60 Silkscreens and Works on Paper Featured
The Andy Warhol Museum presents "Andy Warhol's Sixty Last Suppers," an exhibition featuring over 60 silkscreens, paintings, and works on paper from the collections of Peter Brant and Heiner Friedrich. This is the first extensive U.S. exhibition to focus on Warhol's iconic "Last Supper" series, created between 1984 and 1986.
Warhol's "Last Supper" series is based on Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting of the same name. Warhol's versions are silkscreens, using a repetitive process to create multiple images. The series includes a wide range of variations, from traditional depictions of the Last Supper to more abstract and experimental interpretations.
"Andy Warhol's Sixty Last Suppers" is a unique opportunity to see one of Warhol's most important and iconic bodies of work. The exhibition is on view through September 4, 2023.
